The Cycling Weather Index ranks U.S. cities for cycling conditions using temperature, wind, cloud cover, humidity, and precipitation — scored 1–10 and updated daily from National Weather Service data. Red and maroon = best. Blue = worst.

The Cycling Weather Index scores each location from 1 to 10 using National Weather Service forecast data at 2.5km resolution across the contiguous United States. It is updated daily and reflects conditions most cyclists describe as ideal for a ride.
Six factors are scored and combined:
A score of 10 means near-perfect cycling conditions. A score of 1 means conditions are poor — too cold, too windy, or too wet for a comfortable ride.
