The Golf Weather Index scores each location from 1 to 10 using National Weather Service forecast data at 2.5km resolution across the contiguous United States. It is updated daily and reflects conditions most golfers describe as ideal for a round.
Six factors are scored and combined:
A score of 10 means near-perfect golf conditions. A score of 1 means conditions are poor — too cold, too windy, or too wet to enjoy a round comfortably.
